Current mood: excited

Highlight of my day!
Talk about weird...I was just thinking about when this would happen again...

My sister Amy left me a message this morning that made my day...

I'm gonna be an uncle again!! :DDDD I feel like I should go and celebrate or something. Being an uncle is awesome!

Sorry, but I'm just TOO excited...Actually, no--I'm NOT sorry. It IS exciting. Ha!

Wonder what nicknames I'll end up giving this one...

One more for the club here!

My oldest sister Grace has two sons, Patrick and Jonathan, and she's trying for a third. Hoping for a daughter, though, I think.

I know they all say "ten fingers, ten toes, and as long as it's healthy...", but I know Amy and Steve are hoping for a girl. Heck, I am too. Have a neice along with my nephew.

Best of luck to Grace, though :D

And, say, don't you work in the ER? Funny how we haven't bumped into each other yet.

I do! Especially weird since I'm an intern - you'd think you'd have been my boss at least once by now! I'll keep an eye out though. :-)

I'll pass it along! My other sister thinks Grace's hoping for a girl because she honestly likes the name 'Gates'. In spite of the best efforts of my brother-in-law to nudge her in the direction of 'Denise' or 'Diana'.

Gates--wow, that is truly, truly unique. What's it with everyone these days giving their kids...I don't know...unconvential names? I can totally understand not wanting to name a girl Ann or Jane. But Gates...definitely original. I'll have to give your sister credit for that. At least she wouldn't name her after a car (Lexus) or a color (Blue)...would she?

((And I held back from making a Bill Gates crack))

How about Theresa? Bonnie? Hillary? Lila? Jo[sephine]? Carrie (or even Kerry)? Shelly (short for Michelle or Rochelle)?

And--I know--how would a male ER doc have a wide knowledge of names?--Why, patients of course!

Ha! Nice variety!

I think we'll have more luck with Denise or Diana. My sister Shelly (short for Nichelle actually) suggested Marina, but apparently Grace nixed that. It's kind of a familial thing.

You know me SO well. I shower so many gifts on my nephew, it's crazy.

...but it's worth it. He's a good kid anyway. I miss the li'l guy.

Oh yes. Like it's happening all to me lol. I'm sure Amy would appreciate it. Steve emailed me telling me that she's been giving him her "evil eye" (which really isn't much--it's actually more amusing than terrifying) since she doesn't feel too hot. Perhaps I should FedEx her some crackers. She'd get a kick out of that ;D

Or a package of condoms. I brought those to a baby shower once. Thankfully, the mother-to-be had a good sense of humor.

You...are evil. Hilariously evil. She'd whap me from 'cross state, but with a big ol' grin on her face. Oh well, there are MUCH worse things to be sent (DON'T list them. I could only imagine what you'd say--and I'd like to keep it that way).

Haha, thank ya.

Believe me, I could definitely think of worse, mwahaha.
